Definitions: Research
1. Thesis: The statement of intent for writing. It includes a claim, a reference to the title or author if available, and a general statement to expand upon
2. Sources: Primary or secondary, the resources used to complete a discussion of a specific topic
3. Credibility: The trustworthiness of a source or author
4. Citation: In text or in bibliography, naming the source from which information was gathered, summarized, and/ or quoted
5. Summary: To restate the high points or key elements of a text
6. Paraphrase: To put the writing of another into your own words by restating ideas and giving original credit to the author
7. Research Question: The question, with specific keywords, that states a problem and a method in which to solve it through research
8. Organizational Strategy: The layout of a research paper that best fits the topic being research and the writing style best to explain it
